Honduran cuisine
Honduran cooking is split by the coast: maize and beans inland, coconut, fish and Garifuna cooking on the Caribbean.
The wheat tortilla is as common here as the corn one — unusual in Central America — and the country's main street food is built on it.
The Garifuna of the north coast cook with coconut milk and cassava, and their food differs from mainland Honduran cooking almost entirely.
