FAQs

How long should a password actually be?

Sixteen characters is a sensible floor for anything that matters, and twenty for email or banking — your email is the reset route into everything else.

Are the passwords stored or logged anywhere?

No. Generation happens entirely in your browser, and the value exists only on your screen until you copy it.

Are symbols essential?

Less than people think. Four extra characters of length adds far more resistance than swapping one letter for a symbol, and length rarely breaks a login form.

Should every account get its own password?

Yes, and this is the part that matters most. Reused passwords turn one site's breach into a break-in everywhere else you used it.
