The same turn in every game
Moves a mouse sensitivity from one game to another so that a full 360-degree turn takes exactly the same movement of your hand.
Muscle memory does not live in the number in your settings. It lives in the distance your hand travels across the pad for a full turn. The number differs everywhere: a sensitivity of 1 in CS2 and a sensitivity of 1 in Valorant give completely different turn speeds.
That is because each engine defines its own rotation per mouse count. Across the Source family it is 0.022 degrees, in Valorant 0.07, in Overwatch and Call of Duty 0.0066. The whole conversion is one fraction: the ratio of two constants.
What this calculator shows
- The sensitivity in the new game that reproduces the same turn
- The distance in centimetres and inches for a full rotation
- eDPI and the conversion factor between the pair of games
What to keep in mind
- The list covers only engines with a fixed rotation per count. Games where turn speed changes with field of view cannot be converted from a single number.
- Mouse acceleration has to be off in both the game and the operating system: with it on, distance per turn stops being a constant.
FAQs
How do I convert CS2 sensitivity to Valorant?
Multiply by 0.3143. A sensitivity of 1.0 in CS2 is 0.3143 in Valorant at the same DPI.
Which matters more, DPI or in-game sensitivity?
Their product, eDPI. The turn depends only on that. Very low DPI can coarsen the movement, so most people settle on 800 or 1600 and tune the in-game number.
Why does my turn not match after converting?
Almost always mouse acceleration or enhanced pointer precision left switched on. Either one breaks the constant relationship between distance and degrees.
What sensitivity is the right one?
The one where you can complete a full turn without lifting the mouse and still hit distant targets. Most professionals sit between 30 and 50 centimetres per 360.
Worked example
From CS2 to Valorant
Input: Sensitivity 1.0 at 800 DPI
Output: 0.3143 in Valorant, a full turn in 51.95 cm
Note: The factor 0.3143 is exactly 0.022 divided by 0.07. Which is why players moving from CS to Valorant set 'about a third of my old sens' and land close.
