Calendar days and working days are rarely the same number
Count working days between two dates, excluding weekends and any public holidays you specify.
Contracts, notice periods and delivery estimates are usually written in working days, and the difference from calendar days is substantial: a 30-day month typically holds only 20 to 22 of them.
Because holidays vary by country and region, you enter the count for your period rather than trusting a built-in list that would be wrong somewhere.

FAQs
How many working days are in a month?
Between 20 and 23, depending on how the weekends fall and how many holidays land in it. The annual average is about 21.
Why do I have to enter holidays myself?
Because they differ by country, region and year. A built-in list would be confidently wrong for most users.
Are both the start and end dates counted?
The tool counts the interval, so the start date is excluded. If your contract counts both endpoints, add one.
Do working days include Saturday anywhere?
Yes. Some countries have a six-day week, and in parts of the Middle East the weekend falls on Friday and Saturday instead.
Worked example
A calendar month
Input: 1 August to 31 August 2026
Output: 21 working days out of 30 calendar days
Note: Nine days disappear into weekends. Any 'within 30 days' promise reads very differently once you notice that.
